The price covers the whole job.

A full exterior detail, iron and fallout decontamination, a clay bar treatment, the machine polish itself and a sealant afterwards. There is nothing to add on top. It is also included free inside the Show Room package.

BeforeAfter

The before shot is under a hand-held inspection light, which is deliberately unflattering. It is the only honest way to see swirl marks, because they hide in ordinary daylight. The after is the corrected finish in sun.

Some very fine marks remain, and that is normal: chasing the last few percent means removing more clear coat than is sensible on a daily driver.

03The process

How a correction actually runs.

Polishing dirty paint just grinds contamination into it, so the prep matters more than the polish.

  1. Foam soak and safe contact wash

    Grit is lifted off before anything touches the paint.

  2. Decontamination

    Iron and fallout dissolved, clay bar if the paint still feels rough. Only once the surface is genuinely clean does the machine come out.

  3. Single-stage machine polish

    Panel by panel with a dual-action polisher, checking the finish under light as we go.

  4. Sealed afterwards

    Corrected paint is bare and unprotected, so it gets a hydrophobic sealant as standard. Upgrade to a ceramic coating so the work lasts far longer.

04Straight talk

What we can and cannot remove

Run your fingernail across the mark. If your nail glides over it, there is a very good chance a machine polish takes it out or dramatically reduces it. If your nail catches in it, that scratch has gone through the clear coat and polishing will soften how it looks but will not erase it.

Same story with rock chips and anything down to primer or bare metal. That is a paint repair job, not a correction. We tell you which category your car falls into before you book, not after we have your money.

Common questions

How much does paint correction cost?
From $450 for a small car up to around $720 for a large 4WD or van, and that figure includes the full exterior detail, decontamination and clay bar that has to happen before any polishing. You get a firm price before we start, and it is also included in our Show Room package.
How long does it take?
Usually somewhere between three and six hours depending on the size of the vehicle and the condition of the paint. It is not a quick job, and rushing a machine polish is how paint gets damaged.
Will it remove every scratch?
No, and be cautious of anyone who says otherwise. Scratches your fingernail glides over usually come out. Scratches your fingernail catches in have gone through the clear coat and can only be improved, not erased.
Can you do it at my house?
Yes. We are fully mobile across Brisbane and the Redlands and bring our own lighting, polisher and products. We just need a shaded or covered spot (or we set up our own canopy), plus access to a tap and a power point.
Do I need to protect the paint afterwards?
Strongly recommended. After correction the clear coat is bare. We finish with a hydrophobic sealant as standard, and you can upgrade to a ceramic coating so the work lasts far longer.
