Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to every quote, booking and service provided by Slick Detail Co. (ABN 51 189 899 019), a mobile car detailing business operating in Brisbane and the Redlands, Queensland. By booking with us you agree to them. Nothing in these terms limits the guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Quotes and pricing

• Prices on this website are guides. The final price is confirmed when we know the vehicle's size and condition, and it is fixed before any work starts.
• If the vehicle turns out to be materially different from what was described (for example heavy pet hair, sand, mould, or paint in worse condition than shown), we will explain the difference and agree a revised price with you before continuing. You can decline and pay only for work already done.
• All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where it applies.

Bookings and deposits

• A deposit of 15% of the quoted price confirms a booking. It is paid by PayID or bank transfer once we have agreed a price and a date.
• The deposit is non-refundable once paid if you cancel or are not available at the booked time, because a cancelled slot usually cannot be filled at short notice.
• If you need to move the date, tell us at least 24 hours before the booking and the deposit transfers to the new date at no cost.
• If we have to move a booking (weather, illness or anything at our end), your deposit moves with it, or is refunded in full if you would rather not rebook.
• Maintenance program visits and fleet or dealership accounts do not require a deposit. Maintenance visits can be skipped or cancelled with 48 hours' notice.

Weather

Detailing outdoors in rain, or in extreme heat that would damage the finish, is not worthwhile for either of us. If the forecast makes your booking pointless we will contact you to reschedule. There is no charge for a weather reschedule.

What we need on the day

• Safe access to the vehicle, an outdoor tap and a standard power point within reach.
• The vehicle emptied of personal items and valuables. We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle.
• Somewhere we can park our vehicle and set up for the duration of the job.

Condition of the vehicle and limits of the work

• Please tell us about any known problems before we start: failing clear coat, previous repairs, aftermarket tint, loose trim, electrical faults or leaks.
• Paint correction reduces and often removes swirl marks, light scratches and oxidation. It cannot remove scratches that go through the clear coat, stone chips, or damage down to primer or metal, and we will tell you this before we begin.
• Some stains, odours and marks are permanent. We will always do our best and tell you honestly what is achievable.
• Our ceramic coating is a professional retail-line product. We do not issue manufacturer warranty certificates. Its life depends on how the car is washed and stored after we leave.
• We are not liable for pre-existing damage, or for damage caused by defects in the vehicle that we could not reasonably have identified.

Payment

• The balance is due when the job is finished, by cash, PayID or bank transfer, or by card through a secure payment link if you ask for one.
• You will receive a tax invoice for every job.
• Fleet and dealership accounts are invoiced per visit on the terms agreed for that account.

Stamp card

• Every customer receives a physical Slick Detail Co. stamp card with their first detail. It arrives with two stamps already on it.
• We stamp the card on the day at each completed detail. One stamp per vehicle per visit. Please keep the card in the car; we cannot replace a lost card or the stamps on it.
• Five stamps earn one free detail equivalent to the package you most commonly book, at our discretion. Present the full card when booking and hand it in on the day.
• Referrals: when a new customer books their first detail and names an existing customer, the new customer receives $25 off that detail and the existing customer receives $25 off their next detail. The name must be given at the time of booking, the referrer must have had at least one detail with us, and the $25 is applied to the invoice, not paid in cash. One referral credit per detail; credits do not stack on a single booking.
• Stamps have no cash value and cannot be transferred, exchanged or combined across cards. We may end or change the program with reasonable notice; stamps already earned will be honoured.

Offers

• First-service offer: new customers receive 25% off their first service with Slick Detail Co., for services completed by 31 January 2027. One per customer and per address. It covers the services and add-ons booked on that first visit.
• The offer is not available on fleet or dealership accounts and cannot be combined with other discounts or the referral credit. A minimum charge of $90 applies after the discount.
• Crossed-out prices on our website are our standard prices, which apply to every service after the first and to all services after the offer ends.

Photographs

We may photograph your vehicle before and after the service for our records and to show our work. Number plates are covered in anything we publish. If you would prefer we did not photograph or publish images of your vehicle, tell us and we will not.

If something is not right

If you are not happy with any part of the work, tell us within 48 hours and give us the chance to look at it. We will re-do the affected area at no charge where the concern is fair. Under the Australian Consumer Law you are entitled to remedies for services that are not carried out with due care and skill, and these terms do not take those rights away. To the extent the law allows, our liability for anything else is limited to re-performing the service or refunding the amount paid for it.

General

• These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
• We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page at the time you book is the one that applies to that booking.
• Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information.
