Privacy Policy

Slick Detail Co. (ABN 51 189 899 019) is a mobile car detailing business based in Thornlands, Queensland. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use slickdetailco.com or book a service, why we collect it, and how we look after it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

• Contact details: your name, phone number, email address and the address where the vehicle will be detailed.
• Vehicle details: make, model, year, colour, condition and any photos you choose to upload with a quote request.
• Booking details: the service you want, preferred dates and times, notes you give us, and your answer to how you heard about us.
• Payment records: the amount paid, the date and the method. We do not see or store your card number. Card payments, where offered, are processed by Stripe.

How we collect it

Almost everything comes directly from you: through the contact and quote forms on this site, by phone, by text or email, or in person on the day. Form submissions are delivered to us through Netlify Forms and Formspree. Invoices are issued through Xero. Each of those providers holds the data on servers outside Australia and has its own privacy policy.

Why we collect it

• To quote, book and carry out the detailing service you asked for.
• To contact you about your booking, including rescheduling for weather.
• To send a tax invoice and keep the records Australian tax law requires us to keep.
• To understand which of our advertising actually works, from your answer to how you heard about us.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not send marketing email unless you have asked for it. You can opt out of any message at any time by replying or contacting us.

Photos of your vehicle

We sometimes photograph vehicles before and after a detail for our own records and to show our work on this website and our social media accounts. Number plates are covered in anything we publish. If you would rather we did not photograph your car, or did not publish photos of it, tell us at any time and we will respect that.

Cookies and local storage

This site does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers. This site stores nothing in your browser beyond what the contact and quote forms need to work while you fill them in. Embedded Google Maps and Google Fonts may set their own cookies under Google's policy.

How long we keep it

Booking and invoice records are kept for at least five years, as required by the Australian Taxation Office. Quote requests that do not turn into a booking are deleted within twelve months.

Security

Data is stored with reputable providers that use encryption in transit and at rest. Access to booking data is limited to the business owner. No method of storage is completely secure, so if we ever become aware of a breach that is likely to cause you serious harm we will tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the law requires.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email emery.js09@gmail.com or call 0483 835 675. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not happy with our response you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date. Continuing to use our services after that date means you accept the updated policy.
